The Bachelor

Mr. Wolf

As they Dig your ditches
Count my stitches
Generation justice wishes for World at war
Final score
Media come and abhor us

In these hard times
We'll work harder,
harder
Through these hard times I'll work harder,
harder
for resolution
Show me some revolution

This battle will be won!

~Hard Times by Patrick Wolf

One thing is for sure, the way I write and what I write on my Blog nowadays has changed drastically from when I started Blogging about 4-5 years ago!

I used to write about my feelings, insights, emotional turmoil, ideas and whatever I rant on and on about - novel length stories of my life...
Long and somewhat inspired forms of writing. I guess I was in a stage in life where I needed to release personal thoughts, and let go of my angst or "dark and twisty" perceptions...or even give motivational "speeches" about living...philosophical jargon etc...You name it, I used to write long long essays on my blog!

Right now...I do not really feel the need to exaggerate, to tell long and winding stories of my life or what I'm currently going through. Sometimes being too vulnerable to the public or to friends is tough because people would just KNOW too much about your life and pick and pull apart little quotes or sayings...It just got old and baring my "soul" was way too much after a while. People just assume they know you and judge you based on what you write. Which of course is the case...

However, this doesn't mean I do not find joy in writing or expressing my emotions in words etc...But I am currently have fun exploring different medium and ways to express myself! fun and interesting ways to explain where my heart and head are at the present time. ;)

That is why, lyrics/music/art/fashion or poetry seem to speak strongly to me...cause it would be a vehicle of which I could pour out thoughts, little bits of personality and display where I am at the moment. What stage of my life I'm at or inspirations that capture my attention...and aspire me to JUST BE. :)

Now...after all that talk, I have been listening to a lot of Patrick Wolf lately!!

Let me just say that I adore his songs and to all those indie twee enthusiasts out there, he is just like a male version of Lady Gaga but with better lyrics and greater exploding melodies that just remain as raw and beautiful as ever (No offence to L.Gaga fans)...

If you don't already know, Patrick Wolf (All the way from the UK) has been an artist and a completely brilliant singer/songwriter in the music world since he was 20- delivering powerful, emotionally charged songs with poetic lyrics. One thing I REALLY find inspiring would be his ability to metamorphosis into something newfangled and fresh every album! He makes it a point to transform and entertain and be true to his love for liberation, love, art and music! which is a blend of indie-electronica/dance/baroque pop/alternative and chamber music.

And of course his fashion sense is AMAZING! although you may find it weird, awkward or overly dramatic...I still think it exudes passion and creativity! (kinda reminds me of McQueen and his aesthetic) Being an individual and standing out. I admire guts like that and wanting to show how you feel artistically without worrying about social conduct or music/fashion boundaries!! He is just a genius. period. he just creates pure magical, whimsical and heart-wrenching GOLD.

I can go on and on about how much he inspires me at the moment...but, I'll let the pictures and videos do the talking. :)
