MTV World Stage 2009!!!

Update: I won MTV World Stage tickets!!! *screams and jumps up and down* hands flaying around.... XD

Seriously. as soon as I found out about this event I went online and looked for ticket giveaways and contests to win those tickets!! (since it can't be bought) I tried out all the magazines imaginable - KLue, Junk and Tongue and Chic etc...MTV website too. answered tons of questions each day and signed up for lucky draws and daily picks!! I had to check my entries possibly every 1 hour! Anyways, On the 5th day of trying!

I Won a pair of tickets to the event to my surprise!! I was practically as excited as those guys in the Heineken Commercial screaming their heads off and eyes wide open, spirit fingers and the works! haha. I was ecstatic to win!! Come on, All American Rejects (my fav band while in highschool - still can remember singing their songs regularly in class with my friends), Kasabian (UK indie rock band which so happens ROCKS!) -my fav song remains Club Foot!, Hoobastank etc...I couldn't be clearer on how much I want to attend this MTV concert! (first one of its kind in Malaysia too) so it will be LEGEN-*wait for it...* -DARY!!

Then just yesterday I found out about the MOSH PIT auditions held in the curve!! I did not hesitate one bit and decided off bat to go and participate!! it criteria would be = energetic, lively, hardcore rocker, stylish and someone who stands out in a crowd when mosh pitting!! ;)

I was so prepared, decked out in rocker appareal - shiny disco braclets and a sequeined dress!! with my Chuck Taylors *my trusty rocker shoes used in almost 4 concerts* and was Ready to dance and jump or scream my Heart out!!! literally, when the music started - I threw my handbag to the side and started dancing and jumping with hands and fist punching the air!! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! letting my hair down in front of hundreds of people and mosh pitting is soooo liberating!! (one of my fav highlights when at a concert) to head bang, twirl, scream, go CRAZY basically!! :D

In less than 30 secs through the song, VJ Denise stuck a pink sticker on my shoulder and said, "Awesome dance moves, and great dress!" haha. I was soooo shocked and completely elated! I couldn't believe it! So...that was how I spent my saturday afternoon. "dancing in public along with 19 other participants, all eager to WIN those coveted Mosh Pit tickets!"

I am now....very satisfied and excited about the concert on the 15th of August, with 3 tickets under my belt, I feel that all my hard work finally paid off! :) haha. It was an experience. It was awesome!! I would do that all over again....even risking embarassment. Now, I'm ready to rock out at sunway lagoon to some great bands! ;) worldwide viewing of our sweaty screaming faces will soon be displayed internationally! hehe. *psyched*
