Lists of things I'll miss...

The little things I will miss when I bid farewell to my home:

1) My morning wake up calls from my dearest dog, Chance. Her barks and tail wagging at the sight of me sluggishly lifting my feet of the bed. This may sound gross, but her friendly licks will be missed.

2) My connecting toilet to my bedroom. My hostel room in Oregon has one toilet shared by 10 people! Guess that just means I have to wake up earlier.

3) Being able to cook breakfast and a good meal without difficulty.

4) My posters on my bedroom wall…if you have seen my room, you know why. There is history on these walls…from autographed framed memories ranging from Switchfoot to Radiohead. A huge section just for photos and drawings.

5) Passing by my fav little record store (of 6 years) while shopping, and ending up buying a new album out of spontaneity.

6) My garden, the flowers…and the mangoes that I pluck when the season is right. And the swing I had since I was born…

7) The get togethers and house parties that my parents always host, bbqs and dinners.

8) Having my parents drag me out of my comfy bed at 11am in the morning!

9) Getting to watch a movie in awesome cinemas for only 10 ringgit or less. The price for tickets overseas especially in US, is insane! And I don’t think the town has a proper cinema. (maybe)

10) The humidity…and warmth. I will miss that…the fluctuation of weather in KL.

11) Shopping privileges…my favorite hang outs in malls and places in which I feel extremely comfortable in. like…one utama (awesome parking), and mid valley.

12) Having my parents to rely on, and their room a stone throw away from mine. (yes, I will miss hearing their voices through “paper thin” walls)

13) Having a life after 9pm! Going out for mamak or just watching a movie or hanging out past 10pm…

14) My wacky, fun loving and super caring friends, their lame jokes and helpful encouragements…just being able to be around familiar faces.

15) Good old Malaysian hospitality and home cooking!! Hawker food choices and spicy delights…oh, how I will miss the food in KL.

16) Wearing sandals and slippers out…or just putting on some shorts/t-shirt. Soon I will have to wear layers of clothing and cover myself up entirely. You won’t know how terrible it is until you enter the fitting room.

17) Having some Malaysian humor and conversations filled with “Lah”, “Ah”s and “Aiyoo”s and evidently even the common bad grammar usage.

18) My baby aka "Garrison Guitar" -acoustic pleasures. sigh...gotta buy one there or fly it over!

19) Getting to be a goofball in my room all alone - my privacy.

20) Anything else to add?? Can’t think of more at the moment…(but I’m sure they’ll pop up)

Huge glass of dark chocolate with marshmallows!! yummy seasonal treat
*great before going to bed XD*

Most of all, I’ll miss just being part of your life and spending time with family and friends doing little things like eating out at mamak stalls, shopping, watching a movie, playing an intense game of cranium/ taboo, sitting around, showing off our poker faces

Playing my cards right

and talking. It will be a huge lost for me, because I hold you dear to my heart even if I don’t show it. I believe our paths will soon cross in the future…if not, thank you for your friendship and love!

My Awesome Family *plus Eric* -extended fam

Sorry for all the outpour of sentimental thoughts. Was feeling the pinch of leaving a moment ago after putting up my family Christmas tree (tradition) and realizing the days are numbered. I am trying to enjoy every second here in KL...(argh, not tryin to over

think)

Light up

12 days to go…

Peace,

Adeline
