Live, Love and Laughter…
The three great combinations of L words I find myself cherishing each day!
Being in a new country with new people does change you. In some way, I don’t feel like the same person who left
I went for a Christian Conference a few days back and it was very beneficial, being around Christian youth in their twenties was inspirational and enjoyable! I did benefit from the conference tremendously. Learnt from ethnic collective worship, astonishing Filipino speaker – Lisa, and made new friends.
Assignments are piling up like a mountain not a mole hill! Definitely stressing out a little, from presentations and essays to finish to “malfunctions” and other crap that happens in life in general, but my head is above water and I’m actually glad I’m here! It’s perfect in so many ways even with its flaws I think my campus, as quiet it may seem its comforting and fresh. I needed to get away from city life for a while anyways I suppose…going hiking and skiing next week! Then, maybe horse back riding (which I’m ecstatic about)
I’m doing things, trying to get out of the mold or stereotypes…being my own person! And loving every moment of it even with the dreadful times. I admit sometimes the rain, or drizzle gets on my nerves especially when I’m not wearing a hoodie or holding an umbrella! But…when the sun graces us with its presence, its wonderful!
I can’t believe it has already been 2 months!! Finals are coming up soon *omgoodness*, time passes too quickly especially when you are filled with activity. Food here is fine, but just seems blend and dull after a while – I eat dorm food most of the time therefore means cafeteria or eateries on campus. My hall has a buffet right below my room! They serve great brunch – my fav meal of the day. What is better than mixing breakfast delights like French toast, waffles, pancakes and bacon with sausages, hot soup, scrambled eggs and French fries? XD yess…sinfully tempted each day. 3 meals to be exact – all you can eat!
my baking and cooking buddy Valerie! - our cookies rock. :P
my Hawaiian babes :)
Me and akane hosting a dinner party with some girl friends. :)
But, to the ppl who hoped to see me gain at least 10 pounds and end up looking all “meaty” or fat will be disappointed. Didn’t gain any significant weight…*for now* hehe.
Missing my hawker stores and curry mee! Greasy Chinese food never appealed more to me than right this second!! What I would give for a plate of char keoy teow. Sigh.
For now, I am having mixed feelings about winter transitioning into spring! One thing I do like about winter is the fact that I can wear layers (which I adore) – gives me unlimited chances to change my look or clothing each day and modify components in my outfit. But its freaky cold! And wet most of the time…(literally the wet blanket) Spring on the other hand is warmer and the flowers make awesome scenery and photos! It’s a sense of new life and renewal, and its beautiful plus I don’t need to take off tons of clothing when trying things on in malls (huge pester)…but, I will miss frost layers though. *sorry, drifted into fashion for a while* What can I say? You can take the girl from the city but never the city from the girl. Hehe.
- Bought “The Killers” tickets!! Super thrilled about the concert.(counting the days)
PEACE,
Adeline

All I can say is...told you so ;)
I'm thrilled that you are having a blast and by your posts and piccies you most definitely are!! Soak it all in, sister - we only live this life once and there's no better time to enjoy it than where you are right now!!
And yes M'sian food cravings, totally know what you mean!! People in KL don't appreciate what they've got, they can't understand why I crave for a maggi goreng just coz they can get one every other day!!
Hey Faith,
Yeap, i'm having a time of my life here! :) Its been an adventure n an experience. So many things to learn each day and I'm meeting people everyday...It has been hard too, miss home and of course Malaysian Food!! *cravings* hehe.
But yes, I'm soaking it all in! I agree that we only live once and we should enjoy every second of it.
Omg, the food here is just nothing in comparison to KL food, mamak sounds so good right now. hehe. ;)
Take care...glad to hear from you girl! hugs.
